Learn How-To Root Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 Using Android 2.3.4 XXKG6 Firmware

All and sundry knows that Samsung Galaxy S II is a great phone if we look towards the features of this great smartphone. So, in this post I’ll tell you about to Root Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 Using Android 2.3.4 XXKG6 Firmware.  Samsung’s software team can’t stop leaking out the Galaxy S 2 firmwares a new official firmware is popping out nearly every week now, but we would be lying if we told you we do not like it.

Step 1: Download the Gingerbread XXKG6 [here] firmware package and extract it.

Step 2: Download the Odin extract it to get the Odin.exe file which is an executable file. Open the Odin and turn off your phone.

Step 3: Put your phone in the download mode by holding the Volume Down button + the Home key button, while holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device.

Step 4: Connect your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 to your computer with USB cable after entering into the download mode.

Step 5: After the connection, the ID:COM box will turn yellow and in the message box you will see that it will show ADDED which means that all the required drivers have been loaded successfully and you are ready to proceed for rooting the device.

Step 6: Click on the PDA tab and after that select the file which is named as “CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG6-v4.1-CWM4.tar”. Select the same and without changing any other variables, just click on the Start tab to start the rooting process.

Step 7: After the process is finished, the device will be rebooting, you have to turn off the phone to enter into the recovery mode by long pressing the volume up key, press Menu as holding both the buttons press the power button to start. You can see that after device gets switched on, you will find options like clear cache data.

Step 8: Select options Wipe data/factory reset and select Wipe Cache partition then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now after which your Galaxy S2 will be rebooting and again you will have to set up your Google accounts etc.
